Once again Sri Lanka is encountering a humanitarian crisis of huge proportions.

Around two hundred thousand ethnic Tamils have been displaced due to the ongoing military operations of the Sri Lankan armed forces against the Tamil Tigers.

All Muslim organizations and groups in Sri Lanka have launched a massive fund raising program to ease the  government’s burden of  providing humanitarian assistance by helping the civilians who escaped from the war zones.

Our partners in the effected region have sent a team, in coordination with the Muslim Council of Sri Lanka, consisting of  ten cooks, to provide cooked meals for the victims. They are  supplying 1000 meals a day initially, which will be increased to at least 5000  as soon as possible.

One day’s meal costs $2.00/person USD

The health care need too is so immense that state hospitals in the area are unable to cope with the demand. Our medical team is ready to move in to treat 500 patients a day which will cost $800.00/day USD.

All of these goals cannot be achieved without your support. Help the displaced children and families, by making a donation today. Every day counts.
