About Our Foster Parenting Program

Foster Parentings is a model whereby trained foster parents provide temporary care to children in safe, nurturing and healthy family environments when the children’s direct families are not able to do so for various reasons.

ICNA Relief Canada’s foster parenting initiative connects families interested in becoming foster parents with their local Children’s Aid Society (CAS).

In response to the urgent need for more Muslim foster parents, ICNA Relief Canada’s Foster Parenting campaign has set the following two objectives:

  • To create awareness regarding the great need for Muslim foster parents in our community.
  • To provide interested Muslim couples with the required information and guidance about becoming foster parents.

Through our Family Counseling initiative, ICNA Relief Canada provides counseling and training to anyone willing to be a foster parent. If you, or someone you know, is interested in registering as a foster parent, please don’t hesitate to contact us.
