Daughters of Gaza

Make a Difference Today

Program Overview

Women in the Gaza Strip face ongoing psychological trauma caused by prolonged conflict, displacement, loss, and unstable living conditions. Many are carrying the emotional burden of caring for families while enduring anxiety, stress, and unresolved trauma—often without access to sustained mental health care.

Existing support is largely short-term, leaving critical gaps in long-term psychosocial recovery

This project provides structured, continuous mental health support for vulnerable women through a cycle-based model that combines group psychosocial sessions, individual counseling, case management, and dignity assistance. Each month, 150 women aged 15–49 participate in a full support cycle designed to strengthen emotional resilience, improve coping skills, and restore a sense of safety and dignity.

Over four months, the project directly supports 600 women and indirectly benefits 3,600–4,200 family and community members. Participants access safe spaces, professional psychosocial care, and essential dignity items, while women with moderate or severe mental health needs are referred to specialized services through established pathways.

The program is fully scalable, allowing additional cohorts to be added as funding becomes available. By equipping women with long-term coping skills, strengthening local capacity, and fostering. community-based support networks, this initiative delivers both immediate relief and lasting impact, helping women rebuild emotional stability and resilience amid ongoing crisis.
