Gaza Flood Relief

• The flooding isn’t just a “weather problem” — it’s deepening Gaza’s humanitarian catastrophe. Because so many people are living in fragile, temporary tents (often for more than a year), a storm can cause massive damage and health risks very quickly.
• The infrastructure damage from the war (broken sewage, destroyed drainage, limited clean water) is making the flooding much more dangerous.
• Aid capacity is strained: even when supplies exist, restrictions and logistical bottlenecks are limiting their delivery.
• There’s a serious risk of disease outbreaks because of stagnant sewage and contaminated floodwaters.

Emergency Shelter Support

• Distribution of tents to families whose shelters have been destroyed or severely damaged.
• Provision of tarpaulins, plastic sheeting, waterproofing kits, and shelter repair materials to reinforce existing structures.

Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH)

• Water trucking to provide clean drinking water where sources are contaminated.
• Rehabilitation of latrines, sewage systems, and drainage channels to prevent disease outbreaks.
• Distribution of hygiene kits and water purification tablets.

Food and Nutrition

• Distribution of food baskets, ready-to-eat meals, and support for community kitchens.

Winterization Assistance

• Warm blankets, clothing, mattresses, and insulated materials to protect families during cold, wet weather.
